Buddhist teachings are rich with insights and advice for modern life, but can be overwhelming to newcomers. With his trademark warmth and humor, Lama Dorjee will skillfully illuminate the main principles of practice and offer constructive ways to apply Buddhist wisdom to today's world.
Space is limited, so please register in advance. Lama Dorjee's new book, Heartfelt Advice, is available for $10. Please contact us if you would like a copy. The suggested donation is $40 for all three days ($15 per session). Direct offerings to Lama are encouraged. Donations to LSLK are also welcome. Medicine Buddha PracticeFourth Sundays at 10 amThrough this practice the healing power of all the Buddhas is focused and made accessible for use in this world. The Medicine Buddha practice is done for all sentient beings who need healing of any kind. In addition, anyone, Buddhist or not, who has a loved one who needs healing can ask to have his or her loved one (or himself or herself) included in the dedication. This is a beautiful, powerful practice for all those who participate, as well as for those for whom it is dedicated. Everyone is invited to attend. Red Tara practiceThird Sundays at 10 amThis is a practice of meditative visualization and prayer in which enlightened mind is visualized in the form of Red Tara, a powerful feminine deity. It is open to all, although certain aspects of the practice require specific empowerment by a qualified lama.
