A Day of Mindfulness and
Meditation with Janka

Saturday, March 18, 2017
1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

“Do everything with a mind that lets go.
Don’t accept praise or gain or anything else.
If you let go a little, you will have a little peace.
If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace.
If you let go completely,
you will have a complete peace”

– Ajahn Chah

In this world of plenty with constant opportunities for instant gratification the mind can conceive of many desirable things, and all that wanting can stir up a lot of agitation in the mind. Discerning what one actually needs at any given time within the range of wants and desirables is a helpful wisdom practice leading to inner peace. Through the practice of wise letting go, we begin to realize that the dissatisfaction and the sense of lack we feel will never go away through having or storing something up; and that true fulfillment and happiness comes from developing the mind and heart through meditation.

This half-day of practice will consist of guided meditations, walking meditations, instructive talks, group discussions and written homework suggestions.
